Our Flight Test is a multitasking exercise designed to assess ability to manage a busy workload whilst adhering to prescribed SOPs, including height, heading and speed using flight controls.
The high cost of full flight simulators can make it impracticable to use them in the initial assessment of large numbers of individuals. Our Flight Test is a cost effective way to capture information on a candidate's dexterity and coordination ability in a pilot environment (using fixed wing or rotary aircraft) providing measures on accuracy and control.
Flight Test features modern in-flight graphics, with scalable performance for different computer capabilities, it is based on a robust open source flight simulator and installation and configuration is a very quick process. Flight Test has an enhanced candidate experience and improved telemetry data capture allowing for a more detailed analysis of aircraft control.
Flight Test uses simulation software and takes 20 minutes to complete. It consists of two parts, an initial introduction whereby the candidate becomes familiar with the system, followed by the candidate being required to fly a pre-defined route in which the telemetry data is scored. A joystick and throttle is required as well as the ability to listen to audio.
Flight Test features automatically generated reports, which include a colour-coded flight path presented on a map, providing a simple visual indication of accuracy and aircraft control.
