Our Personality Questionnaire is designed to measure a candidate's personality, values, behaviour and attitudes. Each of the questions are designed by psychologists to identify specific aspects of the psyche as well as personality or behavioural traits.
The Symbiotics' Personality Questionnaire includes traits that are specific to the aviation sector, such as the FAA's hazardous attitudes, in addition to other relevant traits, such as ability to adapt and pressure management, and has been designed to focus on the ICAO competencies.
Derived from a theoretical basis to support the measurement of these traits, our Personality Questionnaire provides an overview of a variety of traits, which can be used in combination as part of a battery of appropriate tests.
The questionnaire also examines preferences under pressure, identifying behaviours that can cause difficulty under pressure and impact on others in the team environment.
This assessment has a psychological basis and therefore if you purchase this assessment you are required to have a certified staff member to be able to interpret and present back the results.
Symbiotics offer Certification Training to provide you with the skills to be able to successfully interpret our Personality Questionnaires. This allows you to have the awareness to interpret the results clearly and make confident and accurate decisions based on the results. Find out more about our certification training.
If you wish to discuss your requirements with one of the Symbiotics team, get in touch to discuss your needs and how our psychologists are able to support you.
This assessment is designed as a senior level personality questionnaire, for use across initial selection and recruitment processes through to identifying candidate suitability for promotion and team leadership / management opportunities.
This assessment generates a report, which the Symbiotics team put together in easy-to-interpret sections and pass back to you.
To receive additional guidance on how each of your employees can develop their approach to help improve their performance, upgrade to the ADAPT Personality Questionnaire: Training Needs Analysis (TNA) report.
The ADAPT Personality Questionnaire: TNA report measures the same attributes as the ADAPT Personality Questionnaire, however, in addition identifies the areas the candidate would benefit from developing further and provides guidance on how to achieve this.
Are you planning to interview candidates as part of your recruitment and assessment process? Upgrade this product to our ADAPT Personality Questionnaire: Interview Questions report, to receive specific questions to help verify each individual candidate's results and discuss their key attributes further to determine whether they are the right fit for the role.
As a response to recent feedback we have designed an ADAPT Personality Questionnaire report that is candidate focused, to help each of your applicants gain a detailed understanding of their self-reported preferences. This report can help candidates to develop their self-awareness and approach, which is likely to benefit their performance throughout the next stages of their application.
This new report presents the candidate's results in a supportive way that is easy for each candidate to interpret, without report Certification Training.
Just as a reminder, the current ADAPT Personality Questionnaire report is client focused and we do not advise this is passed on to the candidate.

Optional Invigilator Symbiotics offer a Remote Invigilation Solution which allows an invigilator to be present during the tests to increase the reliability of the results. Click here to find out more about our Remote Invigilation Solution.
Symbiotics' ADAPT Personality Questionnaire has been used for some years to successfully identify individuals whose personal style preferences best suit them for work in high stakes roles. Based on the Five Factor model of personality, additional elements pick up on traits that are particularly undesirable in these roles. The profile can also be tailored to fit the national and organisational culture of the employing company.
Recent changes to the EASA regulations require all pilots to have a psychological assessment before they commence line-flying. Our personality questionnaire meets the requirements as defined, identifying the psychological traits and suitability of the flight crew in respect of the work environment; and reduces the likelihood of negative interference with the safe operation of the aircraft. Symbiotics also recommend that the mental wellbeing of the pilot is assessed at periodic intervals using our MindQ™ assessment, as personality is stable over time but mental health varies according to the stresses and pressures being encountered both inside and outside work at any particular time.
If you would like to find out how we can help you with your assessment needs, please contact us and one of our sales team will be in touch to understand your requirements. We can quickly and easily set up a trial account for you to have a look around the ADAPT system and experience some of our specific tests.
